==Aftermarket Upgrades== There are basically three options available when it comes to after market radiators that will fit an Elise/Exige. All three are 'all aluminium' and none have the dreaded plastic end tanks. There appears to be only two manufacturers that are making these radiators. The 42mm single row is made by ??? and the 45mm twin row single pass is made by [[Pro Alloy]]. All on-line retailers sell the same radiators, they just badge them with different names to confuse you. Hopefully the following table will help when making your choice for purchase: {|border=1 !On-line
Retailer !32mm Core/Single Row
Manufactured by ??? !42mm Core/Single Row
Manufactured by ??? !45mm Core/Twin Row
Manufactured by Pro Alloy |- |[http://www.eliseparts.com/ Eliseparts] |[http://www.eliseparts.com/products/show/84/221/aluminium-high-pressure-radiator/ ALUMINIUM HIGH PRESSURE RADIATOR] |Not available |[http://www.eliseparts.com/products/show/84/224/aluminium-upgraded-radiator/ ALUMINIUM UPGRADED RADIATOR] |- |[http://www.elise-shop.com/ Eliseshop] |Not available |[http://www.elise-shop.com/aluminium-high-pressure-extra-capacity-radiator-all-models-p-345.html Aluminium High Pressure extra capacity Radiator] |[http://www.elise-shop.com/pro-alloy-full-aluminium-race-radiator-elise-exige-vx220-p-961.html Pro Alloy Full Aluminium Race Radiator] |- |[http://www.proalloy.co.uk/ Pro Alloy] |Not applicable |Not applicable |[http://www.proalloy.co.uk/cgi-bin/sitewise.pl?act=det&pt=52_921_62_178&p=207&id=proalloy Alloy Race Radiator] |- |[http://www.hangar111.com/shop/ Hangar 111] |Not available |[http://www.hangar111.com/shop/lotus-2-eleven-engine-tuning-parts/204-2-eleven-elise-exige-340r-parts-alloy-radiator-standard-replacement.html PERFORMANCE RADIATOR - 42MM CORE] |[http://www.hangar111.com/shop/lotus-2-eleven-engine-tuning-parts/205-elise-exige-alloy-radiator-uprated-twin-core.html TRACK DAY/MOTORSPORT RADIATOR - 45MM CORE] |- |[http://www.seriouslylotus.com/ Seriously Lotus] |[https://www.seriouslylotus.com/radiator-high-pressure-32mm High Pressure 32mm] |[https://www.seriouslylotus.com/radiator-high-pressure-42mm Radiator High Pressure 42mm] |[https://www.seriouslylotus.com/pro-alloy-radiator-single-pass-45mm Pro-Alloy Radiator Single Pass 45mm] |} The radiator fitted by Lotus with the plastic end caps is a 32mm single core, single pass, manufactured by [http://www.pmagroup.co.uk/branches.php PMA Group]. The direct replacement for this radiator, maintaining the same coolant volume in the system, is in column one. Columns two and three offer greater capacity. Other variations are available but the above three will cater for 99.9% of people on road and trackdays. The following video will help you understand some of the terms used in radiator speak, like twin rows, dual cores, triple pass etc: * http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ldfuzy_JJUo <gallery> Image:Standard oem radiator.jpg|Standard OEM 32mm core, single row, single pass, with plastic end tanks Image:All aluminium hi pressure radiator.jpg|32mm core, single row, single pass Image:ep_32_1row.jpg|Failing 32mm core, single row, single pass Image:es_42_srsp.jpg|42mm core, single row, single pass Image:pro_alloy_45_2row.jpg|Pro Alloy 45mm core, twin rwo, single pass </gallery> ===Triple Pass=== The triple pass radiators are only intended for motorsports and are '''not recommended for road use'''. The reason being there is not enough coolant flow at idle (sitting in traffic) to force the coolant through three passes of the radiator. Road users who have fitted triple-pass radiators have resulted in increased engine temps. This advice holds for heavy trackday heros that drive their cars to/from circuit; the car is still liable to be stationary in traffic. {|border=1 !Manufacture !Model !Retailer(s) !Notes |- |ProAlloy |[http://www.proalloy.co.uk/cgi-bin/sitewise.pl?act=det&pt=&p=895&id=proalloy 42mm Core / Single Row / Triple Pass] |[http://www.eliseparts.com/products/show/84/1190/triple-pass-radiator/ EliseParts]
[http://www.elise-shop.com/aluminium-triple-pass-race-radiator-all-models-p-354077.html Elise Shop]
[https://www.seriouslylotus.com/radiator-tripple-pass-42mm Seriously Lotus] | |- |ProAlloy |[http://www.proalloy.co.uk/cgi-bin/sitewise.pl?act=det&pt=&p=895&id=proalloy 45mm Core / Twin Row / Triple Pass] |[http://www.hangar111.com/shop/lotus-2-eleven-engine-tuning-parts/571-elise-exige-2-eleven-triple-pass-alloy-radiator.html Hangar111]
[http://www.eliseparts.com/products/show/84/1190/triple-pass-radiator/ Elise Parts]
[http://www.seriouslylotus.com/pro-alloy-triple-pass-radiator Seriously Lotus] | |- |Unknown |50mm Core / Twin Row / Triple Pass |[http://www.seriouslylotus.com/triple-pass-twin-core-50mm-race-radiator Seriously Lotus] | |- |Koyorad Racing |[http://koyoradracing.com/news.asp?m=8&y=2016 48mm Core / Twin Row / Triple Pass
P/N# HH652890N] |[https://www.amazon.com/Koyorad-HH652890N-Radiator-for-Lotus/dp/B01KIC7M6Y Amazon]
[http://www.optionsauto.com/products.asp?dept=14600 Options Auto] | |- |Denso F1(bespoke) |27mm Core / unknown / unknown |[http://www.blackwatchracing.com/product-p/1215.htm Blackwatch Racing] |21 fins / inch, .25 tube spacing, 2.5lbs empty |- |} "bespoke" denotes limited supply radiators specially created by race shops / tuners for high-performance cooling
